Eco-sustainability: from oak to bottle

Cork forests represent an exclusive naturalistic fortune of the Mediterranean. Majestic trees, often secular, extending over an area of well over two million hectares safeguard our habitat from the desertification process.

In arid environments such as the soils and the climate of southern Europe, the thick foliage of the cork oak prevent the dehydration of the soil, protecting both plant and wildlife biodiversity and release four times the absorbed CO2 into the atmosphere. Mureddu Sugheri recognizes this immense green heritage as a precious environmental resource to be preserved for the well-being of future generations.

Taking care of the cork oaks and transforming their decennial fruits with craftsmanship is our job and our corporate social responsibility. There are countless advantages that the community derives from the use of corks for sealing wine bottles.
